There I was, unsure of what to expect on my first ever dive into the ocean and before resurfacing my life had been forever changed. Everyone has moments in their life that stand far out, above and beyond all others. My first time ocean diving in Belize was one of those moments.
The Maldives, a chain of tropical islands extending into the Indian Ocean off the southern tip of India, is an idyllic holiday destination. It is not, however, known for bargain holidays on a budget. Happy new year everyone! I spent the last days of 2012 and the New Year’s holiday in San Diego, CA. This week’s photo was shot during my visit to the Zoo’s Safari Park (separate from the regular San Diego Zoo). This baby Gorilla’s name is Monroe and he put on a great show for everyone.
Pictures and videos from my visit to the annual Phoenix Zoolights event. Watch the music in motion show over the lake and check out the wild light displays included in some of the Zoolight’s 3.6 million lights.
Check out this street art in Cozumel, a large Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea. The wall is full of marine life, intended to raise awareness for Cozumel’s national marine park.
Climb atop the 130 foot high El Castillo temple and over two dozen other structures at Xunantunich. An incredible and unique Mayan site full of history and intrigue.
This week’s photo is of the 12 foot waterfall at the Japanese Friendship Garden. Also known officially as Ro Ho En.
Watch video and see pictures from some of the best snorkeling in the entire world. Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley off Belize’s largest island, Ambergris Caye. I came across sea turtles, rays, grouper and a huge variety of Caribbean reef fish.
This week’s picture is of an old wagon in a field, with a small cabin in the distance. View the large high quality image for intricate detail in the wagon’s wooden wheel.
